NCRS Members Frequently asked questions:

Do I have to register for the meet even if I am not having my car judged ?

Yes you should register for the meet and if you do not, you will not be able to participate in the opening reception, any judging schools or judging or observer judging.  Anyone caught participating in any function  who is not registered will be asked to leave. NCRS is able to keep the price affordable to itís members by sharing the cost through registrations for the meet.

How do I attend the judging schools?

You must pre-register for the event and designate on the form that you want to participate.  There is a limited number of slots for these schools and participation is chosen by postmark.

How do I observer judge?

First you must register for the meet and then you are eligible to volunteer to observer judge.  You can volunteer the day of judging for that particular year that you have an interest and must be present at the start of judging and be willing to help throughout that process.

How are the judging teams picked?

The judging teams are picked from the registered members who have selected to participate in the judging process.  The various selections for particular years are forwarded to the National Team leaders who make their selections based on judging levels and past judging experience.

How are the eligible cars picked for the classes?

The cars that make it into the judging classes are picked by postmark up to the 8 car limit. All others are put on a waiting list that may clear due to circumstances beyond the control of prior registrants.

When do I have to have my car on the show field and when can I pull it off the field.

All judged and PV cars have to be in place by 5:00PM on Thursday 1/18/07 on the show field.  The cars will remain in place until 4:00 PM  on Saturday 1/20/07.  PV cars may be removed from the field for the Performance verification test and will be put back in place on completion of the test.  Sportsman display vehicles can be removed daily if that is your only transportation at the meet and this is discouraged for safety and security reasons.  All cars are to be removed from the show field by Saturday after the close of judging.

What type of show field is being used?

The show field is outdoor on pavement.  The show field is completely fenced and security will be in place everyday from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM . There will be no admittance to anyone while security is in place. Owners should bring an outdoor cover for their car to be placed on the car at the end of each day and will need to remove at the beginning of the each day on the show field.

Should I put my trailer in secured parking?

The only 24 hour security is going to be in the secured parking area.  A guard will be posted from Wednesday 12:00 PM 1/17/2007 until Sunday 7:00AM . If you park anywhere else, you are on your own.  The cost of security on this basis is very expensive and your fee is cheap compared to the cost.

Should I go to the awards banquet?

As a owner of a judged car, you should attend the  banquet as it is put on for your benefit. If you do not attend the banquet you will pay a fee for the delivery of the award.  No awards will be given out unless they are at the banquet. The cost of the banquet is very costly and generally the fee does not cover the expense of putting the function together.  All other members are welcomed and encouraged to participate to acknowledge the car owners accomplishments.

How do I get to the banquet?

The Banquet has been moved to the Gaylord Palms Hotel, which is about 1 mile from the Old Town and Comfort Suites Hotel.  A courtesy bus will take passengers from the Comfort Suites starting at 5:45PM  and will run every 15 minutes to the banquet.  All participants are encouraged to take the shuttle as the Gaylord Palms charges $10.00 per vehicle for parking.

What are the show hours?

The show will run from 8:00am to 6:00 pm each day.

Will I be able to pick up parts or deliver heavy parts to a vendor?

Yes you can but you will need to check with the gate personnel to insure safe passage for all.  This should not be done on Saturday unless there is no other alternative.
